This twice yearly Antiquite Brocante (antiques fair) straddles both sides of the river at the Place de la Bastille. Not the biggest bargains, but some goodies are sure to be had. And the plus side is that you don't have to trek all the way up to Clingancourt Puces if you are in the mood for treasure hunting.

If you have bottomless pockets go to the Lourve Antique Mall on Rue de Rivoli. The Antique Market at Clingingcourt Metro stop is huge and runs Sat-Mon. It will take a day to see it. Beware of pickpockets on the way from the metro to the market. We go in November for the Bastile Fair and then do the Porte de Vanves and the Clingingcourt market.
